PCBA is short of Printed Circuit Board Assembly. PCBA comes out after PCB printing by SMT machines or DIP by woven machine.

PCBA process can be divided into four major procedures:
SMT printing→DIP Woven assembling→PCBA Test→Qualified PCBA

Take this 4-port hub as an example. There are 125 components on this PCBA.There are 23 elements in this type-c PCBA.In order to make our products smaller and portable, our engineers designed the PCB board to be very small. In order to install small electronic components on such small board, we have Yamaha SMT printer and reflow soldering machine. The welding spot is more accurate, the precision is better and the product performance is more stable.

1,SMT printing and reflow soldering
Solder paste mixing: after thawing the solder paste from the refrigerator, mix it for printing and welding.
Solder paste printing: place the solder paste on the steel net and print the solder paste onto the PCB by the scraper.
SPI: SPI is the solder paste thickness detector, which can detect the solder paste printing and control the printing effect.No good paste board will be refined or re-pasted. Good ones will be in nest step.
Mounting: the components are placed in the feeder, and the mounter head accurately mounts the components onto the PCB through identification.Manual adjustment of components is handled if necessary.
Reflow soldering: reflow the pasted PCB board. After the high temperature, the pasted solder paste is heated into liquid, and finally cooled and solidified to complete the welding.
AOI: AOI refers to automatic optical inspection machine. The welding effect of PCBA can be inspected, and the defect PCBA will be picked out.
Repair: repair the defect PCBA manually.The repaired PCBA will be detected by AOI again.
2.DIP plug-in and waving soldering
Plug-in: process pins of plug-in materials and insert them on PCB
Wave soldering: solder the inserted board through the machine. In this procedure,liquid tin will be sprayed onto the PCB board. The welding will be completed after cooling.
Foot trimming: cut the too long pins.
Post welding processing: weld components manually.
Plate washing: after wave soldering, the boards will be dirty and special machine cleans PCBA with washing liquid in tank.
Product inspection: PCBA board shall be visual inspected. Unqualified products shall be repaired, and qualified products can enter the next process.
3.PCBA testing
PCBA test can be divided into ICT test, FCT test, Aging test, Vibration test etc
PCBA test is a big program. We adopt different test methods according to different products and different customer requirements. ICT is to test the components welding and the circuits through out. FCT is to test the input and output parameters of PCBA to see whether they meet the requirements.
Aging test is to see if the PCBA can meed the durable demand.
Vibration test is to see the elements stability in vibration.
Only finally qualified PCBA can be used in next procedures.
4.Package the qualified PCBA.
